Abinader appoints 6 new female governors

Agendan temas presupuesto 2025, Gobierno priorizará salud, educación, transporte integrado

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader appointed six new civil governors on Monday night in the provinces of Espaillat, Hato Mayor, María Trinidad Sánchez, Santo Domingo, Valverde and Dajabón.

The measure is contained in decree 452-24, announced in a statement by the Presidency.

In the province of Espaillat he appointed Patricia Maria Munoz Salcedo; in Hato Mayor he appointed Maribel Guadalupe Simon Vargas de Reyes and in Maria Trinidad Sanchez he appointed Maria Lopez Polanco.

Likewise, in the province of Santo Domingo he appointed Lucrecia Santana Leyba; in Valverde he appointed Marta de Jesús Collado Ozoria and in Dajabón he appointed Severina Gil Carreras.

Patricia Maria Munoz Salcedo (Espaillat)

Patricia María Muñoz Salcedo has a degree in marketing and is currently pursuing a degree in law.

He has diplomas in international relations and political communication, in media management and spokespersonship, and in the introduction to public administration.

Maribel Guadalupe Simon Vargas de Reyes (Hato Mayor)

Maribel Guadalupe Simón Vargas de Reyes, holds a PhD in medicine from the Universidad Central del Este (UCE), and has a postgraduate degree in health service management and social security from INTEC.

Maria Lopez Polanco (Maria Trinidad Sanchez)

María López Polanco has a degree in Law, is a primary school teacher, and has a virtual diploma in university social responsibility and another in productivity, growth and family development.

Lucrecia Santana Leyba (Santo Domingo)

Lucrecia Santana Leyba holds a degree in economics and accounting and a master’s degree in constitutional law and public law.

Marta from Jesus Collado Ozoria from Lopez (Valverde)

Marta de Jesús Collado Ozoria de López has a degree in accounting and a professional master’s degree in tax accounting.

Severina Gil Carreras (Dajabon)

Severina Gil Carreras is a Dominican politician, mother and wife. She has dedicated her life to public service and the well-being of the communities in her province. She has a degree in business administration and studied political science.
