Monte Plata.-President Luis Abinader and Wellington Arnaud, executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA), inaugurated the Guanuma-Los Botados Multiple Aqueduct, in the province of Monte Plata, which will guarantee water service, in quantity, quality and pressure, to the residents of the demarcation.
The project, with an investment of RD$996,682,246.80, will benefit more than 42,000 inhabitants.
“This province has been a priority for this government, we have invested RD$25 billion in these four years, of which RD$3.5 billion have been allocated to Monte Plata, demonstrating the interest shown by President Abinader,” said Arnaud.
The executive director of INAPA said that it was necessary to expand the project to meet the demand of the residents of the area and thus guarantee them a better quality of life.
The project includes the construction of a new intake, a new water treatment plant, pump lines, a main line, a transmission line, distribution networks and regulating tanks.
