Abinader affirms that not carrying out the tax reform would be an unpatriotic action

Abinader afirma que no realizar la reforma fiscal sería una acción antipatriótica

President Luis Abinader stated this Wednesday that, although he would prefer not to implement a tax reform, not doing so would be an irresponsible and unpatriotic action.

Abinader pointed out that this measure is contemplated in the National Development Strategy, which is why the Government has decided to assume said “responsibility” for the benefit of the country.

«I would like not to do it and be very nice, but it would not be a responsible or patriotic task. Remember that everyone agrees that there must be reformIt is even in the National Development Strategy. Nobody would like to make a reform; It’s our turn and we are assuming that responsibility.«said the president.

The president reiterated that the Government is willing to analyze each of the exemptions with the sectors in Congress.

«All exemptions are being reviewedall incentives. Many of them already served, the tourism “It is already developing very well,” he said.

In addition, Abinader He highlighted “each project has acquired rights for 15 years, and that will continue and will be respected like any country that respects the law.”

The president’s statements were made during his visit to the facilities of the Port of Cabo Rojo, where he inaugurated the second phase of operations.
