Santo Domingo.- The candidate for the presidential nomination for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Abel Martinezswore in hundreds of leaders from Greater Santo Domingo headed by the deputy, Eduardo Hidalgo.
Speaking to those present, Martínez assured that “in order to improve the quality of education in the country and facilitate access to it for our children and young people who want to be trained, we must first act to improve the conditions of teachers. ; guarantee them a quality of life that allows them to go with love to the classrooms to impart the bread of education”.
Martínez, also assuring that the decent salary that the PLD put in the teaching sector is worth nothing today, due to the high levels of inflation that we are experiencing due to the inability of the current government.

“There is already 4% for education; together with the teachers, hand in hand with the technicians of the sector who know the weaknesses and strengths, we will work to build an action plan and real public policies for the national education sector, according to the new times, tending to improve the offer educational. We are going to train the future men and women who are going to lead the country’s destiny in the coming decades, with quality education,” said Abel, after noting that school dropouts have reached the highest levels in history, in recent years. two years.
On his side, Hidalgo, who is a member of the Central Committee of the PLD, and president of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP), stated that “we have come enthusiastically and voluntarily to assume the commitment with fidelity and responsibility since the people traced one line and that is Abel Martínez. Each educational block is working to fill the polls on October 16 with votes for Abel and the next day, we will continue working towards power in 2024.”
“We here in the metropolitan region proclaim Abel as the candidate of our teachers; we assume this commitment as we do in the teaching sector, with heart, with passion, with fidelity and determination. That is why I want everyone to repeat with me: Abel dear, the people are with you,” said Hidalgo.
