Mario Abdo Benítez, President of the Republic, traveled to Uruguay to take three days off. With this, he will receive 2023 in Punta del Este, and from there, he will travel to Brazil for the inauguration of Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva as president of Brazil.
Julio Arriola, national chancellor, announced that the head of state will take three days off before resuming his activities in our country next week.
According to the newspaper El Observador del Uruguay, no official meeting with Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou is scheduled, although informal meetings are not ruled out. Both heads of state were scheduled to travel to Brazil together, however, they will eventually go separately.
