Abdo will take some time to study the PGN 2023 sanctioned by Congress

After the inauguration of 600 homes of the Che Tapýi Project, Barrio San Blas, for families of Mariano Roque Alonso, Mario Abdo Benítez, President of the Republic, spoke about various current issues.

When asked about the 2023 Budget, sanctioned on Tuesday by the National Congress, he stated that they are going to study with the Treasury and that they will only make a decision about it later.

“You know that I use the veto as the last tool, if the Treasury recommends the veto of some articles we will do the partial veto. The Treasury will carry out the study once the process in the legislature is completed, then we will just make a decision, ”he said.

The Senate approved its version of PGN 2023 that establishes US$ 30 million more than what was proposed by the Executive. However, in terms of reassignments, the amount increases to US$ 70 million for salary increases and the creation of 1,340 new positions in the civil service.
