The Executive Branch proposes to the Senate to agree to the appointment of the Master in Law, Irene Escribá Sadoka, as a new member of the board of the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP).
“I have decided to propose to Congress the name of Irene Cristina Escribá Sakoda as a member of the BCP board of directors. A young woman, with high academic training and professional experience, an example of effort and merits ”, President Mario Abdo Benítez communicated through his Twitter account.
In this regard, the president of the BCP, José Cantero, said that this nomination gives prestige to the BCP and Paraguay, for being a young professional, who has stood out throughout her career at the bank.

“He held various relevant positions, the last one, that of manager of the legal unit. The doctor is a lawyer, she has a master’s degree abroad and I think what distinguishes her is that she entered the BCP through a public contest, ”Cantero stressed, during the press conference at the Government Palace.
He added that, Of the entire staff of 722 officials, 62% have master’s degrees, since the objective is for the Central Bank to be eminently technical, with a high level of autonomy, where decisions come from professionals with rationality and technicality.
“From my point of view, the most important attribute is knowledge, we have to inculcate it in all the areas where we are, the BCP has an institute where we provide training, forums and meetings,” said Cantero.
Irene Cristina Write Sadoka is BCP official since 2015. She has a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Michigan, as well as a lawyer, notary public and notary public from UNA.
