Within the framework of the pro tempore presidency, Argentina will hold the Summit of Heads of State of Mercosur and Associated States on July 3 in the city of Puerto Iguazú, in the province of Misiones, where Mario Abdo Benítez will participate for the last time in his capacity as president of Paraguay, reported the state digital IP.
One day before the meeting between leaders, that is, on July 2, the summit of foreign ministers of all member countries will take place.

“The President of the Republic is going to participate in that summit,” confirmed this Wednesday morning, the national chancellor, Julio César Arriola, after the meeting he held in Mburuvicha with the head of state.
Consulted about the possibility that the president-elect, Santiago Peña, accompany Mario Abdo Benítez, in the aforementioned meeting of the bloc, the Minister of Foreign Relations affirmed that he did not handle said information.

It is worth mentioning that on this occasion, the Argentine president, Alberto Fernández, will hand over the pro tempore presidency of Mercosur to his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who will hold it for the next six months.
