The President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, traveled to Germany on Monday for an official two-day visit, during which he will meet with the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the head of Parliament (Bundestag), Bärbel Bas.

Abdo Benítez, who returned to the country on Saturday after a brief visit to Spain, left accompanied by the first lady, Silvana López Moreira, and will land tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Berlin-Brandenburg Willy Brandt airport.
President will begin its official agenda on Wednesday with a meeting with Steinmeier, who will receive him at Bellevue Palace in Berlin.
Subsequently, he will meet with Bas at the Reichstag Building.
A day later, Abdo Benítez is scheduled to meet with the Mayor of Hamburg and President of the Bundesrat (Federal Council), Peter Tschentscher, at the Hamburg City Hall.

The day will conclude with his participation in a gala dinner on the occasion of the Latin America Day 2022, in which, according to Abdo Benítez, he will be the guest and main speaker before some 300 German and European businessmen.
During Abdo Benítez’s stay in German territory, the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Paraguay will carry out the 2022 national population census this Wednesday.
In this regard, the Executive reported that, in the absence of the president, “A member of your family will be in charge of providing the data required by the census takers.”
