The regional manager of the Bolivian Highway Administration (ABC), Milton Villa, maintains that OMB, one of the alleged officials accused of “managing” the NIT of a workshop to insert it in the contract for the 41 ambulances, is from the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS). ).
The executive -in an interview with El Potosí- indicated that he has a friendship with OMB, whose relationship began in October 2020 when they met while attending an event at the Salar de Uyuni. He added that he has no connection with the case of the failed acquisition of the 41 ambulances.

“There is a friendship, but from that I have no connection, I have no contract, I have no company linked to the issue of ambulances,” he said.
Villa commented that with OMB they attended certain political meetings because they are due to a line that is that of the blue party.
“Later we have shared as friends, we have attended certain political meetings, because we owe ourselves to a political line, it is evident, and we have been participants in the MAS political line,” he assured.

Richard Alejo, a lawyer for the Zegarra Motors workshop, announced that he will summon the regional manager of ABC to provide his informative statement in the framework of the case.
The contract for the 41 ambulances was signed on November 26, 2021, but eight days earlier, on November 18, two alleged officials from the Government of that department appeared at the Zegarra Motors workshop to present the owner with “a job proposal with the Government”, which was related to the maintenance of the 41 ambulances, which – they stressed – had already been acquired and were on their way to Bolivia.
The alleged official who returned to the workshop, OMB, asked the owner for his Tax Identification Number (NIT), his operating license, Fundempresa registration and his identity card to sign the corresponding contract.

The owner gave him simple photocopies of the documents and also sent them, via WhatsApp, to the numbers of OMB and the other alleged official. However, they no longer returned to the workshop, despite indicating that they would return in the afternoon.
In the minute of the administrative contract GADP CD and E No. 215/2021, the NIT of the mechanical workshop appears in the section “Documents Integrating the Contract”. That is why the owner filed a complaint against Estefals Logistics, the company that was awarded the acquisition of the 41 ambulances, for the alleged commission of the crime of ideological falsehood.
