The Peruvian company Abbott Laboratories SA has reported the voluntary withdrawal of its formulas children due to health problems filed by four people in the United States, reported Indecopi.
These are the products “Alimentum” (400 gr can), “Similac Alimentum Abbot” (400 gr can) and the powder mixture “Similac HMF/Similac Breast Milk Fortifier” (box x 50 sachets of 0.9 gr each one).
The affected people consumed the products manufactured by Abbott Nutrition in Sturgis, Michigan, the watchdog said.

As explained by Abbott laboratories, in Peru, to the General Directorate of Environmental Health and Food Safety (Digesa), the presence of the bacteria Cronobacter sakasakii or Salmonella Newport has been detected in affected consumers.
Due to this, the voluntary withdrawal of products found in supermarkets, stores, warehouses, supply markets, pharmacy chains, pharmacies, among others, has been carried out.
