ABA will analyze changes in local economic models

National and international authorities and experts will evaluate and present on the constant changes in economic and regulatory models at the local and global levels, mainly after the pandemic.

They will do so within the framework of the XV International Congress of Finance and Auditing (CIFA) and the XX Latin American Seminar of Accountants and Auditors (Selatca). These events, organized by the Association of Multiple Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA) and BDO Business School, will take place simultaneously from July 21 to 24 of this year, at the Live Aqua Hotel, Uvero Alto, province La Altagracia, Dominican Republic.

They will have the participation of the Governor of the Central Bank, Héctor Valdez Albizu, who will analyze the prospects for recovery in the Dominican Republic, based on the global environment. Meanwhile, the Superintendent of Banks, Alejandro Fernández W., will address the challenges of supervision and the financial system of the Dominican Republic, from the perspective of the adoption of International Financial Regulations and Basel III standards.

For his part, the president of the Chamber of Accounts, Janel Ramírez, will speak on government auditing as a strategy to strengthen accountability, in these congresses that carry the motto “Financial and technological perspectives in a post-pandemic world.”

At CIFA and Selatca, informed the ABA and BDO Escuela de Negocios, 19 local and international speakers will participate, including bank executives and companies linked to finance, regulatory compliance, among other aspects. They added that these events are aimed at professionals in finance, accounting, auditing and all socioeconomic sectors of the country.
