In “Claro y Directo”, Augusto Álvarez Rodrich refers to the situation of early elections.
Augusto Álvarez Rodrich refers to the extension of the legislature until February 17 and analyzes what the repercussion of the electoral advance would be.
“Will it be a sign that the spaces can be opened so that, in these days that remain, reach an agreement to reach a vote that allows the elections to be brought forward?” he said.
Then, he referred to the importance of this measure to calm the political and social crisis, within the framework of the demonstrations and requests of the citizens. In addition, he asserted that Congress and the Government are not recognized as being capable of solving social problems.
“The solution to the country’s problems is not the advancement of elections, but it does alleviate a lot and may be the beginning to unlock this huge institutional impasse that exists. Congress and the Government are not recognized as instances that can help remove the country out of this deep crisis and we are trapped,” he said.
“Hopefully by the end of the year, or at the beginning of 2024, there will be new authorities in Congress and in the Executive, which allow us to glimpse that Peru should have a stimulating and optimistic future,” he added.
