On the morning of this Tuesday, a 21-year-old girl died after being involved in a road accident at the roundabout that connects Route 101 with Avenida de Las Américas and Wilson Ferreira Aldunate, in front of the old Carrasco international airport.
According to what was reported by the Canelones Police Headquarters, the incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. after the woman hit an interdepartmental bus that was traveling on the same road on her motorcycle.
The authorities became aware of the fact after the 9-1-1 Emergency Service received an alert about the accident. In the call it was noticed that the woman was lying on the road without vital signs.
Police officials were present at the site along with personnel from a mobile emergency, but they could only verify death.
Members of the National Highway Police Directorate and personnel from Section 26 of the Canarian Police Headquarters worked at the site. The prosecutor’s office of the City of the Coast in charge of the Public Ministry official, Mina Busich, is in charge of the investigations.
