The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued this Sunday a yellow alert for storms, some locally strong, for the city and province of Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chaco, Córdoba, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Formosa, Jujuy, La Pampa, Mendoza, Salta, San Luis, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán.
The part warns that “the coverage area will be affected by storms, some locally strong”and that “they will be accompanied by gusts, occasional hail, strong electrical activity and abundant rainfall in short periods.”
In this framework, “daily accumulated precipitation values between 15 and 40 mm are expected in the center of the country, while in the north of the Coast, values between 40 and 70 mm are expected; in both cases, they can be exceeded locally.”
