Melissa Porras was sentenced to 14 years in prison after the Attorney General’s Office demonstrated that she executed a plan to drug and rob men she contacted through dating applications.
According to the investigation by the Bogotá Section, the woman used false profiles to attract her victims, men who believed they were meeting a person interested in a serious relationship. Once I gained their trust, I arranged face-to-face meetings in different parts of the capital.
“This woman used false profiles to select her victims through different platforms and convinced them to arrange meetings with the assumption of knowing each other personally. In reality, after sharing, she offered them drinks mixed with veterinary medications that left them unconscious and thus proceeded to take their cell phones, cash and other items, and carry out virtual transactions,” detailed the Prosecutor’s Office.

The authorities responded to 11 complaints that led to identifying Porras Domínguez and linking her directly to the events. Bank records and evidence collected showed that, between July 2023 and January 2025, the amount stolen exceeded 400 million pesos, in addition to a vehicle that was stolen from one of the victims.
After being captured, Melissa Porras accepted the crimes of qualified and aggravated robbery, and theft by computer and similar means. Based on her confession and the evidence presented, a criminal judge in Bogotá sentenced her to 14 years in prison, which she must serve in a prison facility.
