The situation will be aggravated during the highest consumption schedule. According to the state electricity, in the night peak the demand will reach 3,480 MW, while the available generation will be only 1,890 MW.
The above will generate a deficit of 1,590 MW, with an estimated affectation of 1,660 MW, equivalent to 48% of the national territory. It should be noted that the forecast was made before the departure of CTE ten of October, so the real blackouts could be greater.
The last weeks have been especially critical on the island due to a new collapse of the national electrical system that left almost the entire island off at the beginning of this month, the fifth in less than a year.
