The cost of the products that make up the basic food basket (CBA) rose 6.5% in Marchwhich determined that a family made up of two adults and two minor children would need to receive income from $39,862 to avoid falling into povertyreported today the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
Meanwhile, the cost of the total basic basket (CBT) marked an increase of 7% in Marchwith which a typical integrated family should have had income for a total amount estimated at $89,690 so as not to fall below the poverty line.
Last February, the cost of the basic food basket rose 9%, while the total basic basket reflected an increase of 6.6%.
The Indec reported last week that the consumer price index registered an advance of 6.7% in March, driven, among other items, by Food and beverages, which marked an increase of 7.2% compared to the previous month.
