The cost of the basic food basket (CBA) rose 7.2% in January, for which a couple with two children needed to receive income of $72,043 to avoid falling into a situation of indigence, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses reported this Thursday ( Indec).

Meanwhile, the total basic basket, which in addition to food includes other items such as clothing and transportation, also rose 7.2% due to the fact that the same family type needed to receive income of $163,538 in order not to fall below the poverty line.
