Havana/A traffic accident occurred on the night of last Friday at kilometer 120 of the highway that connects Havana with Pinar del Río left a deceased and two injured. After 10:00 pm, the driver of a trace belonging to the Fuel Transportation Company (Transcupet) lost control of the vehicle, which ended up overturned on the road.
According to the largest Yoel Alberto Acosta Pozo, head of the Provincial Surveillance and Patrol Unit that was summoned by the Official Pressas a result of the incident, Miguel Varela González, 25 years old, doctor and member of the Brothers Saíz association died.
The other two occupants of the vehicle were transferred to the Abel Santamaría Cuadrado Provincial Hospital in Pinar del Río. Dr. Sandra Ramírez Guzmán, General Director of Public Health in Pinar del Río, reported that both have minor traumas and are not in danger.
