A thousand UASD student tablets are delivered

A thousand electronic tablets were delivered this morning to students of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo by President Luis Abinader and the rector of that high house of studies, Editrudi Beltrán.

The delivery of the first stage of a total of one hundred thousand, was carried out in the Aula Magna.

It was announced that in the coming days they will continue to deliver to the regional venues and centers, culminating in the headquarters.

One of the conditions for students to receive their tablet is that they must have at least two active semesters and complete the digital form that will generate a digital card.

The card will be essential for the tablet delivery process.

The rector said that the students are the primary reason for being and existing of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, and that for them they carry out the necessary transformations so that the UASD become a modern, agile and efficient university.

“It is time for the Academy that provides the greatest social mobility to young Dominicans to make the necessary adjustments in order to have a higher education institution of the century.”

He said that technology as a transforming element has made it possible for societies to carry out the simplest and even the most complex operations through an electronic device.
