Some 120 street cars, 70% of them on the track for the first time, participated in the Drag War, a speed event specially designed by Autódromo Panamá, so that drivers who like racing and adrenaline can do so in a safe manner.
On the starting grid this Sunday were combustion cars, such as the electric Cybertruck that stole the attention of attendees for its impressive size and performance on the straight inside the Panama Autodrome, located in Capira, lowering Campana.
On this occasion, all participants had to use street tires, not racing tires, which gave a special touch to the races, since the drivers’ expertise had to come to the fore.
It was an epic and unparalleled day, with street cars racing on a track built to the highest standards of safety and comfort, approximately 400 metres long and with a braking area of 500 metres.
Although there were no winners, the drivers participated in this drag event, with a format different from that of a competition, eliminatory or championship; the track was open to anyone who wanted to race.
This is a new special format, created within the social responsibility policies of Autódromo Panamá. If you want to race, sign up at www.autodromopanama.com and experience speed at its finest!
Now, all eyes are on the International Race, which will take place on October 5 and 6 on this circuit.
