The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development opened this Monday a public consultation so that all Argentines and Argentines sensitized with climate action participate, from the web and until July 21, in the collaborative construction of the National Action Strategy for Climate Empowerment (Enace)in compliance with Escazu Agreementwhich Argentina ratified in 2021, was officially reported.
“Enace is a fundamental tool for the design of our public policies and for strengthen the capacities of the sectors that work for climate action. In addition, it is aligned with our national and international commitments, it is inspired by our work in the National Climate Change Office and also by such important instruments as the Comprehensive Environmental Education Law and the Yolanda Law”, he highlighted. Meanwhile, the Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) is a transversal proposal in public policies that seeks to generate citizen awareness to advance climate action in a comprehensive manner.
It is implemented in the countries through various actions, including the formulation of a national strategy, as agreed in the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement, the agency specified in a release.

Argentina added, to the six components that the ACE has, the culture component, which allows addressing different lines of action.
In this sense, the importance of generating awareness to promote climate action, guarantee interculturality and dialogue between diverse knowledge and actors is recognized.
Therefore, in the public consultation You can comment on education, training, awareness, access to public information, citizen participation, international cooperation and culture.a.
Following this guideline, all the interventions that are part of this participatory instance, as well as the contributions received in the meetings and workshops that are being promoted throughout the country, will be taken into account in the elaboration of the Enace, whose final document will be shared at the end of 2022.
