Among the solutions, he reported that the possibility of installing water purification units (UPA) or starting reverse osmosis processes is being handled.
The idea is “to move forward with a national plan that solves the problem of arsenic throughout the country”, because “there are dozens of localities that have this inconvenience”, he pointed out.

Peña also referred to the projects planned to provide sanitation to some 60 localities, with an investment of 500 million dollars. With this reorganization plan, the aim is to reach 90% coverage within a period of 10 years and it is expected that the first phase will be completed in this administration.
In reference to the chosen localities, Peña maintained that “there is a preliminary list that emerges from the study carried out with the consortium and the OSE, which establishes the priority priorities.”
“It’s a reserved list, still. It is under technical study, it is not the definitive one, but there are some 60 localities that are within the framework of that analysis that the companies are carrying out. It is not public yet because it may have changes, ”he indicated.
