An agent close to the former Argentine trade unionist, Marcelo Balcedo, would have tried to establish contact with the former custodian of President Luis Lacalle Pou, Alejandro Astesiano, to arrange a meeting with the president, according to the chats taken from the phone of the now accused as alleged leader of a criminal association.
As reported The Dailythe envoy of the Argentine trade unionist -also accused of various crimes- wanted to meet with Lacalle Pou in Maldonado, before beginning to negotiate the trial against him.
“Look at the prosecutor’s office answered last week and at any time they begin to negotiate the trial… try to put your head in and you are NOT left out. You have been warned (I did not tell you anything, it is all very reserved) ”, he was told in the first communication.
“He has to be interested because they are also suing the presidency,” Astesiano said in his reply.
“He eats a garrón,” replied the one who spoke on behalf of Balcedo, who later added that “he wants to fix it.”
“Yes, I know the entire case,” Astesiano said.
“As soon as you know, let him know that he has to go to Punta del Este (meeting) and then to the Kia,” continued Balcedo’s representative.
“Ok, come on,” answered Astesiano. “Move, there’s a lot of money,” he specified.
Alejandro Astesiano is in pretrial detention, charged as the alleged perpetrator of crimes of document falsification and criminal association. He is pointed out as the leader of a large organization for the sale of false passports to citizens of Russian nationality that operated from the fourth floor of the Executive Tower of the Presidency of the Republic.
Offering “services” to clients
In recent days, information has appeared about alleged offers by Astesiano to his “clients” to access the electronic espionage system El Guardian, which is in the possession of the Ministry of the Interior under license.
At 2:18 on Sunday, September 4, the still head of presidential security wrote to one of his contacts: “The phones have not returned anything yet. We are already 18 days back.”
“Stop, I’m looking at something with the head of Intelligence,” he later tells this person who would be an important Argentine businessman.
“Sir, we enabled 5,000 cares [coincidencias] of the Guardian with the phones. No one shows any link or maneuvers and no one in the past 100 days has had contact with people from PREXPOL or the aforementioned cell phones, ”she continued.
