A person arrested when opening the emergency door of a plane in mid-flight

South Korean police later detained a man at Daegu airport after he opened the door of an Airbus A321 as the plane began landing maneuvers, the crew landing safely.

According to witnesses, a man got up and opened the emergency door causing a gust of wind to enter the plane, other people managed to stop the person but could not close the door, this caused 12 people to be injured, none seriously.

Other passengers managed to record with their cell phones the moment when the door was open and the gust of wind entered the plane.

The aircraft had 194 passengers on board and its route covered from Jeju Island to Daegu International Airport in the South Korean capital.

The man faces charges of violating the aviation security of the Asian country and can be sentenced to several years in prison.
