The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) reported this Tuesday that a new case of monkeypox was detected in the country. With this last case detected, there are already 14 reported in the national territory since the first case, which was confirmed in July.
To date, a total of 94 cases have been ruled out since follow-up began. At this time, the health authority is monitoring the situation of two other possible cases.
Until now, almost all the cases were registered in Montevideo, with 12 in total. The other two confirmed took place in Salto and Canelones, with one respectively.
