A 17-year-old teenager suffered the loss of his finger when he slid down a slide in an amusement park in the Santa Cruz capital. The event occurred on the night of Sunday, January 8, when together with his family, they decided to spend a moment of distraction.

The minor’s mother, Rosario Montaño, reported that once the accident occurred, The administrators did not speak to provide some assistance. In addition, he denounced that he tried to find a solution, but they did not even return the call.

City Hall inspected amusement park
After this event, the Municipal Emergency Department (DEM) of the Santa Cruz Mayor’s Office arrived at the amusement center to carry out an inspection and verification of machinery.
After the work, Rafael Abasto, DEM official, found several observations. He detailed some such as the electrical system, state of the handrails, signage, grounding and the lack of a plan for the workers in the event of an emergency.
“The park should not work until these observations are corrected,” said Abasto.
Despite the inspection and observations established by the DEM, the amusement park located in the hardware store area, continued to operate and with the presence of minors and families.
