A Mexican pilot linked to drug trafficking was arrested in Apure

During a special operation, Enrique Rivero Romero, a Mexican pilot linked to drug trafficking groups, was captured in Apure, according to military sources.

The procedure was carried out by agents attached to the Bolivarian National Police and the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) in the Muñoz municipality (Bruzual), Apure.

The captured pilot manned the XB-RHF aircraft that force-landed on February 6, 2023, in the Sosa municipality (City of Nutrias), Barinas, related to international drug trafficking.

Along with the subject, two other people identified as Mirna Rivas and José Olivares, owners of the house where the Mexican pilot was hiding, were arrested.

The Public Ministry was informed of the procedure.
