The Peruvian justice system ordered 18 months of preventive detention against Wanda del Valle Bermúdez. This woman was the girlfriend of a criminal and alleged member of El Tren de Aragua nicknamed “Maldito Cris”, who was killed by the Police in Lima for having murdered a municipal security guard.
Wanda del Valle Bermúdez, known as “La Bebecita del Crimen,” was extradited to Peru from Bogotá this Monday, December 30, to face charges related to conspiracy and offering to commit the crime of hitman, according to the Colombian National Police. Bermúdez, a Venezuelan national, is identified as a key figure within the criminal organization Los Llaneros de Sangre Fría, a faction of the transnational network El Tren de Aragua, which operates in several Latin American countries.
According to the authorities, Bermúdez was captured on December 6, 2023 in the town of Usme, south of Bogotá, after a joint operation between the Criminal Investigation Directorate and Interpol (Dijín) and the support of the Federal Investigation Office (FBI) of the United States. The arrest was made under a red notice from Interpol, which requested his capture for extradition purposes.
Bermúdez’s extradition responds to a request from the First Permanent Criminal Appeals Chamber of San Juan de Lurigancho, attached to the Superior Court of Justice of Lima Este. Based on the investigations, the accused would have played a central role in the illicit activities of the organization, including the collection of money from extortion to merchants in Lima, as well as the sale and distribution of firearms. In addition, she is credited with coordinating hitman services and the sexual exploitation of Colombian and Venezuelan women, which makes her a key piece within the criminal structure.
One of the most serious charges that “La Bebecita del Crimen” faces is the alleged attempt to attack the life of Colonel Víctor Revoredo, head of the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police of Peru. According to Peruvian authorities, Bermúdez would have offered a sum greater than $40,000 to carry out this attack, which underlines the level of danger he represents within the criminal organization.

The Peruvian justice system ordered 18 months of preventive detention against Wanda del Valle Bermúdez. This woman was the girlfriend of a criminal and alleged member of El Tren de Aragua nicknamed “Maldito Cris”, who was killed by the Police in Lima after days of persecution for having murdered a night watchman (municipal watchman) who tried to stop him.
The Aragua Train, to which the Los Llaneros de Sangre Fría faction belongs, is one of the largest and most dangerous criminal networks in Latin America. Originating in Venezuela, this organization has expanded its influence to countries such as Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Chile, becoming involved in activities such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortion and hitmen. In the case of Lima, the faction led by Bermúdez would have established significant control over illicit activities in strategic areas of the city.
The capture and extradition of Bermúdez represents a significant blow to El Tren de Aragua’s operations in Peru, but also highlights growing international cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime. As detailed by the National Police of Colombia, this procedure was carried out under the guidelines of the Director General of the institution and within the framework of international cooperation agreements.
With his extradition already completed, Bermúdez must appear before the Peruvian judicial authorities, where he will face a trial for the crimes he is accused of. His capture and transfer to Peru mark a significant step in efforts to dismantle the operations of El Tren de Aragua and ensure that its leaders are held accountable.
