After two years of being prevented from holding the central act for Workers’ Day, due to the health emergency, the PIT-CNT refines the details of the acts that will be held throughout the country and mainly in the capital.
On Sunday, May 1, starting at 9 in the morning, three caravans will be held in Montevideo that will converge at the Plaza Mártires de Chicago, to march from there along Avenida del Libertador to the corner of Valparaíso where the stage will be erected, reported the trade union.

The president of the PIT-CNT, Marcelo Abdala, announced that the message of the trade union movement will have as central axes: wages, work, against hunger and famine, and in defense of social security.
“The unity of those of us who move the wheel will be reaffirmed,” Abdala said in statements to the union central website.
Another of the aspects that will be in the speech on May 1 will have to do with the announcements of the Executive Power about the “salary advances and liabilities, which the PIT-CNT defined as insufficient.”
