A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death at noon this Sunday reported Telemundo and confirmed El Observador with sources from the Ministry of the Interior.
The victim was a car attendant from the area where the incident occurred, in front of the McDonald’s store that operates in Parque Rodó. At 11:50, the Police received a call to 911 reporting that there was a man wounded with a knife on José Requena y García and Rambla Presidente Wilson as a result of an altercation with another man.
Police arrived at the scene and the victim was taken to the Maciel Hospital. At 12:20 p.m. her death was confirmed.
The victim had a criminal record and had been released from jail a few weeks ago.
The Zone I Investigations area and the Scientific Police are at the scene gathering information.
