The authorities in Caldas investigate the murder of magistrate Álvaro Restrepo Vallejo, of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, in events that occurred in the municipality of Chinchiná, South Center of the department.

“The Superior Council of the Judiciary deeply regrets the death of Dr. Álvaro Restrepo Valencia, sectional advisor of the Judiciary, which occurred on the road that connects the municipalities of Pereira and Manizales.
Dr. Restrepo Valencia stood out for his commitment to justice, his professional integrity and his dedication to public service. His death constitutes an irreparable loss for the Judicial Branch and for all those who had the honor of knowing him and working at his side.
The Superior Council of the Judiciary expresses its deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues in the Judiciary, and calls on the competent authorities to quickly carry out investigations to clarify the events that occurred.
