(EFE).- The exile organization Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (ARC) showed this Thursday its support for a letter signed by political prisoners on the island in which they say “enough is enough” to oppression and charge against Pope Francis for “ignoring the agonies” of the population.
The letter, titled To the oppressed people, assures that “the time has come to obtain our total victory with or without the help of blind allies of the regime”, such as Pope Francis, whom they accuse of accommodating and avoiding “the demands of the Cuban people” and of those who today comply ” unjust imprisonment for defending them”.
The ARC urges the Cuban exile community to support this letter dated August 21, signed by four prisoners of conscience from the Vllaclara Guamajal prison, and two men: Donaida Pérez, member of the Julio Machado academy; Loreto Hernandez; Arianna López, director of the aforementioned academy; Mitzael Díaz, leader of the “César Pérez” Civic Command; Nidia Bienes and Lisdani Rodríguez.

The Assembly of the Resistance, which is based in Miami (Florida) and includes opposition groups from inside and outside the island, defended the “unjustly imprisoned” Cubans after the peaceful anti-government protests that shook Cuba on July 11, 2021.
