A homeless man was the one who threw a stone that killed the driver

Santo Domingo.-Agents from the Homicide Investigations Department of the Police are actively looking for a homeless man who launched a stone from the top of the overpass of 27 de Febrero avenue, corner of Máximo Gómez, which hit the front window of a vehicle and would have caused the death of its driver who was traveling in an east-west direction.

The preliminary report of the Policeman indicates that the person responsible for the act, in the process of being identified, threw the stone that hit Mr. Joel Rafael Cabrera Espino28 years old, who was traveling aboard the black Kia vehicle, license plate A860749, and then left walking along 27 de Febrero avenue towards Tiradentes.

After receiving the impact of the stone, which pierced the front window of that vehicle, the victim stopped some 100 meters later in front of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The Police reported that they are advancing in the investigative process and hope to find the author, to arrest him and bring him to justice, via the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.

The institution of order recalled that several homeless people have previously been arrested for committing similar acts in different parts of the country, including the 27 Febrero Private corner, and Ecological Avenue, in Santo Domingo Este.
