Flight number 85 of the Great Mission Return to the Homeland landed this Wednesday, November 12 at the Simón de Maiquetía International Airport, in La Guaira, with 279 Venezuelan migrants from Texas, United States.
The information was provided by the Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace on his Instagram account, where he specified that the group of Venezuelans who arrived on the flight is made up of 218 men, 47 women, 3 teenagers, 3 boys, 8 girls.
The entity reported that the reception protocol was applied with the participation of officials from different citizen security bodies, among which it mentioned the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigations (Cicpc), the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), among others.
In the publication, the agency shared several photographs showing migrants receiving health care and review of documents by security agencies.
Despite the tensions between the United States government and the Maduro administration, following the military deployment ordered by Donald Trump in the Caribbean, the flights of the Great Mission Return to the Homeland continue, as agreed at the end of January between both countries. According to official figures, more than 16,000 Venezuelans have returned this year.
