The prosecutor Mirta Rivas in her final arguments pointed out that this case began in May 2019 when the mother of a minor under 8 years of age denounced the grandfather as her abuser.
To this complaint the mother presented a series of evidence against the grandfather, which was later used to charge the man and now to convict him.
The Sentencing Court analyzed all the elements presented by the Public Ministry and concluded that the accused was the man who sexually abused his own granddaughter and therefore sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
