A girl injured in a landslide happened this monday in a building in Old Havana, he died as a result of the injuries sustained in the event, according to official sources.
The minor was named Ismary Orosco Castellano and was barely 5 years old, As reported the Provincial Government of Havana, which regretted what happened.
The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, also did it, who sent his condolences to the parents and other relatives of the girl through Twitter “in these difficult hours.”
In addition, the president assured that the Havana authorities “from early on attend to this painful situation.”

The collapse occurred at 7:10 in the morning in the building located on Calle Sol No.466, between Calle Egido and Villegas, where local and provincial authorities attended “immediately”, along with members of the Police Corps. Fire, ambulance and firefighters Ministry of the Interior (Minint)according to information provided by the local government.
There, the collapse of a roof slab of the lower house of the building caused four injuries, two women and two minors, who were transferred to hospitals in the Cuban capital. Apparently, the girl’s death occurred in one of them, although the note does not specify it.
A previous note had indicated that Luis Antonio Torres Iribar, first secretary of the Communist Party in Havana, and Governor Reinaldo García Zapata, had visited the Calixto García and Juan Manuel Marques hospitals, together with the authorities of the Habana Vieja municipality, to learn about the care and status of patients affected in the collapse.

The housing situation is one of the main socioeconomic problems in Cuba, particularly in the capital, where there are numerous buildings in poor construction condition and collapses and accidents are frequent, events that often leave victims, even fatal.
