A forgotten area in Capiatá

Marly Centurión, a resident of the Yvyraro 2 neighborhood of Capiatá, questioned that, for years, they have been requesting paving in her area, due to the dire situation of the streets. However, the commune continues to prioritize other points in the city.

“A while ago we insisted that they be cobbled. It is an artery adjacent to Route 1 that is frequently used. It’s going to take away our entire sidewalk,” said the affected neighbor.

He said that the area is very busy, and three blocks away one of the streets was paved a year and a half ago. This is due to the fact that Abdo Benítez, President of the Republic, inaugurated a National Housing Council (Conavi) in the area.

“We are located in the Yvyraro 2 neighborhood, near the Unión de Capiatá club. From Route 1 (at kilometer 21) it is half a kilometer. It is the continuation of San Pedro Avenue. One more rain is coming and it is going to take away our entire gate, ”he finally warned.

BIDDING

At the same time that the residents of the Yvyraro 2 neighborhood are forgotten by their authorities, the commune continues with cobblestone works in other parts of the city.

According to information from the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP), the Municipality of Capiatá awarded the company Ambrosio Coronel for a total value of G. 148 million, which managed to win the tender called “Construction of Paving in Eucalipto and San José Streets, between Uncensused Area and Manzana 1755 of the 10th Company. Eucalyptal neighborhood” with the ID 406.060. For this tender, offers began to be received from Friday, February 25, 2022.

The Municipality of Capiatá was the institution in charge of carrying out the call for tenders under the category “Construction, restoration, reconstruction or remodeling and repair of real estate, by the type of Direct Contracting procedure”.

At the same time that the commune awards cobblestones, an area of the city is completely forgotten by its authorities.

Two blocks from the Union Club of the city, the neighbors must deal with an ordeal before each storm. With the risk that the rapids carry paths and gates with them.

It is worth mentioning that the awarded firm has as legal representative Ambrosio Coronel, Letizia Ruiz and Nilsse Maldonado. Two more companies came to the call: Legión de Servicios Sociedad Anónima and Mes Ingeniería SA
