A firm dedicated to sports footwear added 100 new jobs

The Dass Group manufactures the Adidas, Reebok, FILA, Nike, Umbro, Asics and Under Armor brands.

The Dass Group -a firm dedicated to the production of sports footwear- announced that it will begin to manufacture the FILA brand in the plant it owns in the Buenos Aires district of Coronel Suárez, where it will incorporate 2 production lines and will add 100 new jobsreported the company.

Currently, the company has two plants in Argentina -in Coronel Suárez and in the Misiones town of Eldorado- with a total workforce of more than 1,500 workers.

In Coronel Suárez, where he has been producing since 2016, Adidas and Reebok brands are manufactured, and now FILA products will be incorporated.

While at the plant in Eldorado, Misiones, it manufactures for the Nike, Umbro, Asics and Under Armor brands, within the framework of an import substitution policy with locally manufactured products.

In a statement, the company noted that “Grupo Dass, which landed in Argentina in 2007 and has invested more than USD 185 million in the country, once again boosts its local growth”.

The announcement was made this weekend by the director of Grupo Dass for Latin America and president of Grupo Dass in Argentina, H. Brian Handley, during the visit to the plant of the Secretary of Industry of the Nation, Ariel Schale, and the mayor by Colonel Suarez, Ricardo Moccero.

With an average production of 304,000 pairs per month, DASS plans to reach 3.3 million pairs by the end of the year, increasing its local production volume by 20%.
