A fire in the Centro Habana Court Archive, located on Salud Street, between Infanta and San Francisco, was reported on the night of this July 31. A video shared on social networks denounces that the event is a protest against the Cuban regime.
“This is not an accident, this is fire against the dictatorship,” the man who recorded the video is heard saying. The material begins with an emblem of the movement that could be at the forefront of this fact: The New Cuban Nation in Arms. The logo includes the Cuban flag, three stars and two crossed machine guns.
“This is justice against injustice. This is the new Cuban nation executing injustice in Cuba,” adds the man in a low tone as the fire devours part of the file.

This newspaper verified, after noon this Monday, that the building in Centro Habana remained under police surveillance, officials from the Ministry of the Interior, a car from the Criminalistics operational guard and a truck from Penitentiary Establishments.
In addition, access to the property was prevented by a yellow tape, showing that the Criminalistics agents continued to work in the premises.
In recent days, protests have increased in the country fueled by long blackouts. More than a week ago, a video and several photos of a fire apparently caused by protesters in the office of the Electric Union of Tapaste, Mayabeque.
The fire in the Central Havana Court Archives occurred a few hours after the controversial announcement about the four-hour power cuts in the capital, which the official press called “a gesture of solidarity with the rest of the country”. Until that moment, in Havana there had been no affectations in the electrical service, a decision of the Government highly criticized by the residents of the other provinces who spend up to 10 hours without electricity.
The state press ad caused a lot of outrage and was quickly removed. A few minutes later, the same information was published, but with many modifications and several phrases such as “solidarity gesture” were eliminated, although it was too late, dozens of users had already taken screenshots of the publication, which they shared on social networks accompanied by criticism.
