The Government indebted the country for 43 million dollars for the 2022 Census, but the result disappointed. Citizens complied by staying home, but census takers missed countless urban dwellings. A two-week recovery period is announced.
After 5:00 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday, November 9, a still unknown number (because the complaints have not yet been counted) of families reported that the census takers did not arrive.
Through social networks and the different media, it was received orA rain of complaints from people who were not registered in different neighborhoods of Asunción, Lambaré, Luque and several other cities.

It was not about isolated cases or a simple “feeling” that it was not completed work, but a reality that was getting bigger. The National Statistics Institute itself (INE) issued a statement announcing a “data recovery stage”.
the term will last for two weeks in which it is intended to reach homes in urban areas not included in the census.
The striking of the notice issued 10 minutes after 6:00 p.m. is that the families whose houses the census takers did not arrive, they had to call 178 at the latest until yesterday at 10:00 p.m., to “reschedule a visit.”

Insufficient number of volunteers, non-compliance by census takers with the total number of houses assigned, errors in the distribution of houses are some of the hypotheses that may arise about the lack of coverage.
The excuses to argue the shortcomings will not be lacking either, what is clear is that public money will pay the debt of 43 million dollars contracted exclusively for the census, which ultimately did not meet its objective.
