With the subscription of an important group in Congress to the request for the Extraordinary Plenary Session to hear the case of President Jerí, it would seem that the die is cast and that we are seeing déjà vu. Because all that remains is to add Fuerza Popular, and with those votes the extraordinary session would be called during the course of next week and the votes for that Plenary Session would predict, or ensure, the declaration of vacancy due to moral incapacity of the president.
Regardless of whether Jerí’s situation is right or not with his visit, hooded, to eat chifa late or his unclear friendships with questionable Chinese characters, or his eighties parties with Congressional officials linked to irregular activities; Beyond that, in the current electoral context he becomes dead weight.
If the brilliant advisors of those who are in the political campaign tell their advisor: “if you support Jerí, you lose votes and if you support the vacancy, you gain votes”, the answer is more than discounted and, therefore, it would seem that the president’s fate is cast and that in no more than 10 days there could be a radical change in the head of state of the country.
How much would this affect the country? How much would it affect the economy? Or how much would it affect political stability ahead of the elections? It is something that remains to be built and to be known.
