A cycle that ends

A cycle that ends

The striker who used the number 7 of the Franjeada entity, Néstor Camacho, will no longer continue in the institution. After five years, the soccer player terminated his contract to find a new air towards the “Toldería”.

In June 2017, after finishing the Apertura tournament in which he was runner-up with Guaraní, Camacho became a new player for Club Olimpia, a team in which he would win seven championships. At the end of 2021, the striker accepted a salary reduction and to renew his contract for all of 2022, however, due to the little participation he had this season, the offensive end made the decision to terminate his contract despite the fact that he still had six months of it.

Néstor Camacho said goodbye to the Olimpia club with more than 60 goals scored. «I arranged my departure with the Directors, we were analyzing with my representative the possibility of continuing my career in another institution and now it happened. I am closing a five-year cycle with Olimpia, the truth is that it is a long time.

“The idea is to look for a club where you can have more continuity, where you can have more minutes. My departure is by mutual agreement, I spoke with the board and I am leaving the institution well, we finalized the termination of the contract in a document,” Camacho remarked.

The soccer player’s representative, Regis Marques pointed out that there are several clubs interested in having the scorer’s services, among them is the aboriginal team. “Guaraní is a possibility but there are also other clubs that have asked me about him. Sportingly, he has to choose where he is going to have more minutes. We have no interest in being in a club if they are not going to take it into account”.

«I met with Miguel Cardona at his house and he gave me a new proposal for Alfredo Aguilar. There was an improvement and we will see if we reach an agreement. The proposal is for three more years,” said the representative, who ruled out the Ciclón from the Obrero neighborhood as the future team of Néstor Camacho. “The truth is that no one from Cerro Porteño called me.”

Trajectory

When Club Rubio Ñu promoted to the First Division under the guidance of then Technical Director Francisco Arce, they decided to bring a group of players on loan from Club Libertad, in which Néstor Camacho was. In 2009 Néstor did not have many opportunities in the first team, he barely managed to convert two goals, in the nineteenth date against Club Sportivo 2 de Mayo and in the last date against Club 12 de Octubre.

For the 2010 Opening Tournament, Camacho is already taken into account playing most of the matches, with good performances. He came to play 19 of 22 games and was able to score five goals in the entire championship. In the 2010 Clausura Tournament, Camacho played 16 games and scored six goals. Thanks to these performances, Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys decided to sign him.

Camacho did not have many opportunities with the Argentine club playing throughout 2011 a total of 12 games without being able to score a single goal. For 2012, he returns to his home club, Libertad. In 2013 he arrives at the Deportivo Cali club, where he scores his first goal in Colombia against Independiente Santa Fe, a match that ended 2-0. During the Colombian Apertura Tournament, Camacho executed a penalty that gave Deportivo Cali victory over Once Caldas and thanks to that his team qualified for the final along with Atlético Nacional de Medellín.

He returns to Club Libertad for the 2014/2015 season, where he achieves a good performance, for which he is transferred to Avaí Futebol Clube de Brasil. For 2016, Néstor returns to Paraguay, this time to sign for Club Guaraní, where he reaches a great performance, constantly becoming a figure and scorer of the squad during 2016 and 2017.
