A Cuban immigrant with mental disorders was detained in the red squarewhen he was trying to meet with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, according to the newspaper today Moskovski Komsomolets.
According to the newspaper, the police in charge of monitoring the area around the Kremlin this Thursday noticed a foreigner who was behaving strangely.
When trying to communicate with him, they discovered that he only spoke Spanish and through an online translator they established that the Cuban claimed to be “king of several countries” and that, therefore, he wanted to see Putin.
The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was hospitalized because his behavior suggested a psychiatric disorder.

Later, the police learned that the Cuban had already been fined and expelled from Russia in 2022 for working without a valid permit.
Currently, there is no statistical data on the number of Cuban immigrants who are in Russia, although various sources, including the United States Congress, affirm that up to 25,000 Cuban citizens have enlisted in the Russian Army to participate in the war in Ukraine.
