The Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, affirmed today that fiscal expansion is not enough to correct the social asymmetries caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but that a more aggressive tax policy must be advanced to fix these inequalities.

“It is very important from public policy to build conditions so that what is coming in the world is not regressive for our country. A global tax solution is needed to deal with the tax avoidance of international corporations, which also benefited from the investments that the State did, “Guzmán pointed out at the closing of the Monetary and Banking Conference organized by the Central Bank.
