During this morning he arrived in our country, Rodrigo Espinoza, Chilean who was able to escape the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. He landed in Chile in the company of his wife and Ukrainian daughters.
When stepping on the Santiago Airport, Espinoza pointed out that “we spent more than 50 hours trying to get out. At each stop we felt the bombs, the planes passed over us.”

In addition, he asked the national authorities to be more present in the conflict zone to receive other compatriots who need to escape from Ukraine.
“I ask you, since I have already arrived, to remember my other Chilean friends,” he said.
“We are very grateful for the help of the Consulate, but please we need people to work on this operational work. Argentina brought people to the border, why not Chile?” he added.
Espinoza also recounted that in his flight from Kiev he was not exempt from frights, since “every sound for us was a bomb,” he said.
Likewise, the compatriot stated that “everything is dangerous, the military do not know who is good and who is bad.” He though he valued the position of the Ukrainian men and women since the conflict began.
“The Ukrainian thinks of defending his land, he had never seen people so brave and with so much honor, unlike the Russians who are killing innocent people,” he concluded.
