Santiago. The Arturo Grullón pediatric hospital registered eight children affected during the 24th and 25th of this month, one due to eye trauma during a fire and seven due to traffic accidents.
According to the data offered by Dr. Mirna López, director of the health center, on this occasion there were no minors due to alcohol intake, nor injuries from firearms or knives, nor burns from fireworks. The person affected by eye burns is a five-year-old girl.
Among the traffic accident victims there is a five-month-old infant. The others have ages ranging from three, five, nine, 10 and 18 years.
