Wales managed to draw today against Belgium in the last minutes of the match played in Cardiff, for Round 3 of Nations League A, thus adding the ‘Red Dragons’ their first point in this edition of the UEFA tournament.
A goal by Youri Tielemans (51′) put the team coached by the Spanish Roberto Martínez ahead, before Brennan Johnson, the young promise of Nottingham Forest, put the final tie (87′).
Wales, who had good chances in the first half and even went ahead with a goal from Ethan Ampadu disallowed for offside (5′), got their first point after having conceded two defeats in the first days.
With the equality between the Netherlands and Poland (2-2), is the ‘Orange’ which leads group A4 with 7 points, three more than Belgium and Poland, second and third tied with 4 points. With this result, the ‘Red Dragons’ remain in the fight to avoid relegation to League B.
On Tuesday, Gareth Bale and his team will be looking to grab another point on Dutch soil, while Belgium and Poland will be looking to storm the lead of the group.
