A 9-year-old boy is in serious condition after receiving an electric shock in Mendoza

The incident occurred in a house on Deoclecio García Street at 800, in San Rafael, Mendoza.

A 9-year-old boy suffered a electric shock when touching an extension cord located at the exit of a bathroom in a house in the Mendoza town of San Rafaelfor which he was rushed to the hospital and was hospitalized in serious condition, police and health sources reported.

The incident occurred at midnight on Monday in a house on Deoclecio García Street at 800, when the boy touched the cable when leaving the bathroom, walked a few meters and fell to the ground, as a result of the electric shock received, sources indicated. .

The grandmother contacted the emergency service and the child was rushed to the Schestakow hospital in that town.

The doctors performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers and managed to stabilize the minor, after which he was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit, health sources said.

Personnel from the Fiscal Office 8 of the San Rafael Police worked in the house in order to determine the cause of the event and if it was a clandestine connection.
